How to get rid of Tennis Elbow.

I have got rid of my tennis elbow problem and I would like to share this experience with all. I have been playing badminton for almost a year now. It was when I wanted to practice more for the tournament I started to feel the pain at the tennis elbow. And here are my findings

Major thing that causes the tennis elbow ..

IF YOUR HANDLE GRIPPING STRENGTH IS LOWER THAN YOUR SHOULDER OR ELBOW STRENGTH, then you will start experiencing this problem.

What I meant by the above statement is that, when you start playing for an extra hour than your regular playing hours. you start loosing grip on the racket. Your strength to hold the racket is all exhausted. And then if you continue to play, you are sure to experience the Tennis Elbow.

Solution to this problem is

1) Increase the holding strength.
2) Increase your wrist strength.

This is just the small idea which is little difficult to implement. But there are some better solutions to the problem.

1) Change your style of holding racket: All of the experienced players don't hold racket really tight unless they had to smash the shuttle. Mostly the beginner's and intermediate players make this mistake of holding the racket tight at all the times. This will cause to drain all your energy at the wrist. And you would be exhausting all energy to hold the racket. Best way to hold the racket with medium strength and apply full strength in the fraction of seconds when you have to hit shuttle real hard. That is called timing and you should master it with practice.
Holding racket tight is also sign of you getting panicked when you see the shuttle coming very fast towards you. Again you will had to teach yourself to keep calm and preserve your energy while playing. This does not just apply to the wrist muscles but also applicable to your entire body.

2) Use lighter Racket: Using lighter racket lowers your elbow damage by approximately 20-30% and this will increase your practice time.

3) Use Elbow support: There are tennis elbow supports available in the market it will help you to reduce your pain.

4) Exercise with "ADJUSTABLE HAND GRIP" : This equipment will increase your strength of your fingers and wrist. All the of the above solutions are temporary but if you need a permanent solution then you must do this exercise.

You can choose this of any brand you like, but it should be adjustable to increase load. Incrementally increasing the strength of your fingers you will experience that pain has gone are removed completely.

Alternatively you can try doing push ups with the figures

I am sure 70% of us will not be able to do it at the first but after practice you can master this and will help you for strengthening your wrist and fingers.

Last but not the least you would need to rest the elbow as much as you can whenever you start feeling the pain stop at the right moment. Don't extend your playing hours all of a sudden.

Best of luck with your sport activities and wish you become a Champion one day.
